Prior to establishing his own firm in 2004, Dennis was Senior Vice President for, “PW Funding” , formerly a Paine Webber Company, for 7 years where he was responsible for the firm’s Commercial Finance marketing efforts in the Southwest and officed in Dallas, Texas.

Before joining PW Funding, Mr. Downey was Senior Vice President / Regional Managing Director of the Southwest Regional Office for WMF/Huntoon, Paige.  He was responsible for establishing the Southwest Regional Office, and accountable for the overall management and administration of the regional marketing, processing and underwriting activities.

In 1991 Mr. Downey joined Bank United of Texas, FSB, as Senior Vice President / Director of Multifamily Mortgage Banking Group.  Mr. Downey arranged the acquisition of the “Group” by Bank United from Greenwich Capital Financial, Inc.  He was accountable for the management of all marketing and servicing operations.

From 1985 to 1991, Mr. Downey was Southwest Regional Director – Multifamily Operations for the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac). He had responsibility of all regional multifamily marketing, underwriting, processing, servicing and REO activities.

Mr. Downey served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict obtaining the rank of Captain.

He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government (Pre-Law) with a minor in Business Management from California State University –Sacramento.  He completed the Graduate Real Estate Investment Program at the University of Southern California.
